Reporting Policy
Last updated November 1, 2026
Draft. This policy has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer.
Abuse teams only help when reports are accurate. These rules keep them useful.
What you may report
Email you received and never asked for. If you ever signed up with the sender or one of its partners, please use the unsubscribe link instead. That is not spam, and reporting it counts as a false report.
The rules we apply
- Two-day limit. Spam older than 48 hours is saved for statistics only. Nobody is contacted.
- No duplicates. The same email cannot be reported twice.
- Uncertain results are blocked. If we cannot verify where an email came from, no report can be created.
- Newsletters. If an email looks like a newsletter, you must confirm you never signed up. Websites it links to are not selected for you.
- Addresses you add yourself are checked by our team before anything is sent.
Daily limits
- New accounts (first 7 days): 10 reports per day.
- Established accounts: 50 reports per day.
- Accounts with 3 or more false reports: 2 reports per day.
False reports
Abuse teams can dispute a report. We review the evidence and either uphold the report or accept the dispute. Accepted disputes count against your account and may lead to suspension.
For abuse teams and network operators
Every report has a private link for replying, with no account needed. If you are not the right contact, choose that answer and we will stop suggesting your address. To change how we contact you, please contact us.
